Well, the Fish Eye Fun camera made it’s second appearance at Abbie’s birthday party on Saturday night. It was a blast indeed! What a super fun group of friends she has! Check out the FULL GALLERY. Share For Free! You are welcome to download and share your pictures via email or Facebook or even MySpace (does anybody still use Myspace?), but please don’t crop out the watermark at the bottom! If there is a picture that you really like but the watermark is covering up too much of your face, send me a message and I’ll be happy to move the watermark around for you. How do you save your image(s) to post on Facebook?
Simple, right? (If you look for the “Share” button in top right of the gallery, there are a few more choices.) Want to Order Prints? I hope you do! You can do that from the online gallery too! Just click on the “buy” button and follow the onscreen directions. Don’t worry, if you order prints they will NOT have the watermark! |

Abbie’s Birthday – Fish Eye Fun!
February 28, 2010Betsy and Josh – Engagement Session
February 25, 2010Last Sunday I had the distinct pleasure of shooting Betsy and Josh’s engagement shoot. Saturday was beautiful outside but Sunday was a bit dreary and cold… that didn’t stop us from having a good time.

I love the way Betsy’s eyes look in the shot. Gorgeous.

I dragged them all the way down to the riverfront… figured I should shoot at least one shot with the arch in it.

These two are definitely in love.

Love these two shots.

There is an old elevator in my building and they let me play around for a few minutes.

Yep, definitely in love.

Now, you can’t do an engagement shoot for a couple getting married at Busch Stadium with out putting on some red.
Keep an eye on the blog opening day, Betsy and Josh are getting hitched on home plate just a few days before, and I’ll be there!
Ashlee’s Headshots
February 23, 2010Last Saturday Ashlee drove all the way in from Columbia, MO (and her mom came in all the way from Hannibal) for a headshot session at my studio. We totally lucked out with weather… it was the first day we actually had some sun and warmer temperatures, so we spent most of the time outside. Ashlee did a great job. All I had to do was point the camera and push the button. Here a few from the session:

Thanks to Ashlee and her mom Lori for a great afternoon! And thanks to Breezy Brezany for the great job on Ashlee’s makeup and hair!
The Studio
February 14, 2010Earlier this week I got a call from Brian. He and his fiance Debbie are getting married in September. I decided to invite them to my studio for the consultation, which at the time had ONE canvas gallery wrap hanging on the wall. He said sure! So I had three days to get the space presentable and I needed help. Fortunately Diversified Lab was running a special on prints above 16×20. Not only was it inexpensive but they got my order completed in less than 12 hours!
I also got some help from my good friends Holly and Nathan. Holly brought her design expertise and painting skills to the table. And speaking of table… we also hit an antique mall and found a AWESOME dining room set for a steal at Treasure Island on Manchester! Nathan helped out by spending a couple hours in his Sunday morning pickup up the new furniture and helping me drill some holes in my concrete and brick walls.
And as much as I don’t like shopping at Walmart… they did have the cheap 20×30 frames that I couldn’t find anywhere else on such short notice.
I climbed down off the ladder after adjusting the track lighting about 30 minutes before David and Debbie showed up. Just in time to take a very needed shower.
I really enjoyed my time with David and Debbie too. Even if they decide to go with someone else for their photographer, I’m thrilled to have met them. They gave me the incentive to get my butt in gear and make the space what it is. I’m very proud of it.
So here is one shot of the new place… a few more can be found on The Studio page.

Artisan Caffe – Grand Opening
February 10, 2010In addition to the Fish Eye Fun camera, I roamed the grand opening of the Artisan Caffe, capturing the fun candid moments that unfolded throughout the evening.

Jordan was literally working past the last minute on stencils for some Artisan Caffe stencils.

It was a little chilly… scratch that… it was FREEZING outside but spray painting in the middle of the party wasn’t a good idea.
StudioX did the new logo design for the caffe… which got a lot of use.

There were lots of great food items to munch on.

And great music to listen to as well.

Even the furniture was fun to look at.

The Fish Eye Fun camera was really a lot of fun for everyone.
There was living painting going on too.
And a little bit of drawing too.

Be sure to visit the Artisian Caffe!

Julie, Mike and little Ryan
February 6, 2010Today I delivered the proofs of Julie, Mike, and little Ryan’s family session… which means I can post their pictures! If I can, I like to be there when people see their pictures for the first time. It’s very rewarding seeing the reactions of peoples faces. But it’s always so hard to wait to post the images!
As you can see, we all had a great time. Everybody was super fun and happy and their home was wonderful to shoot in. So much great light. And we fortunate with a nice sunny, not too cold, Saturday afternoon.

We started out with a little tickling…

…and a little playing.

I really hope I get to go with them when Ryan see’s his first Cardinals game!

When Ryan started to get a little tired…

…all it took was a little more tickling.

From what I understand, dinner time is like this a lot. Look’s to me like he just wants a hot dog and some peanuts.

Thanks to Julie, Mike, and Ryan for some great fun pictures!
