This started out a great float with some old wedding industry friends I hadn’t seen in a while. It was a hot, sunny August day. River was quick, pretty clear, and cool. Always a bit more people on the Huzzah but it wasn’t too bad this day.
We got hit with a pretty heavy thunderstorm about half way through. I have to say, I’m not a fan of “Thunder Floats.” We took shelter of the river until the heavy rain/lightning passed.
The float would probably have lasted another hour or so but once the storm passed, we paddled hard and fast the rest of the way.
