Cambodian Blessing Strings

The family and guests tie what are called “blessing strings” to the wrists of the bride and groom while wishing them blessings for their future prosperity, health, and happiness.
Once tied, the strings cannot be cut. Instead, the couple must wait until they fall off or become loose enough to slip over the wrist. This way, the blessing is never broken and all their family’s wishes for them come true.
